Optical Brighteners for Polyester Fiber: High-Performance Whitening Solutions

Optical brighteners for polyester fiber play a critical role in improving fabric whiteness, brightness, and visual appeal. Due to the hydrophobic nature of polyester and its high processing temperatures, selecting a suitable optical brightener with excellent thermal stability, light fastness, and dyeing compatibility is essential.

This advanced stilbene-based optical brightener is specially designed for polyester fiber, triacetate fiber, and blended fabrics, delivering brilliant whiteness with outstanding durability under demanding processing conditions.

Application Guidelines

Exhaust Dyeing Process

  • Dosage:
  • Bath Ratio: 1:10–20
  • pH: 5.0–6.0 (adjust with acetic acid)
  • Process Conditions:
    • Dyeing at 120–130°C for 30–60 minutes
    • Followed by washing → baking → final setting

Pad Dyeing Process

  • Dosage:
    • Optical Brightener ERI-L: 1–6 g/L
    • Other auxiliaries: as required
  • Process Flow:
    • Padding (pickup rate approx. 70%)
    • Pre-baking at 100°C
    • Baking at 180–190°C for 40–50 seconds

Note: Thorough scouring is required if residual alkali remains on the fabric surface.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation

  • Packaging: 25 kg per drum or customized packaging available
  • Storage:
    • Store at room temperature
    • Shelf life: 6 months
    • Stir well before use if stored longer than 6 months
  • Transportation:
    • Non-hazardous product
    • Handle and transport according to general chemical handling guidelines

Precautions for Optimal Performance

  • This product is a dispersed liquid; ensure thorough stirring before use to achieve consistent whiteness
  • Fully remove residual alkali from oxygen-bleached fabrics prior to whitening
  • Designed for high-temperature polyester dyeing; recommended dyeing and heat-setting temperatures must be maintained
  • For normal-temperature dyeing, a carrier dyeing method may be applied
  • Protect from freezing and excessive heat; sensitive to temperatures below 0°C and above 40°C
